"The Civil War Actions at Lovejoy Station, Georgia
of July through November 1864"
"This work is to honor those who served with the Confederate forces and the Union forces that fought and to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. It is also to honor the memory of the Dorsey Family and close neighbors who had to endure the hardships and horrors of war that was brought to their door. We of today will never really know how these people lived and survived in such trying times filled with danger from all sides."
"There are choices that are made in life that cause one to stop and think about life. These men who met one another on the field of battle fought for their beliefs and some for their homes. They deserve our utmost respect which is fading in the sunset of our human existence."
