North Clayton-Henry Line
                                                     1987
The site along Stagecoach Road near the Clayton County Line.  This area saw heavy activity during
the March to the Sea.  General Blair USA brought his men through this area.  This was the 17th
Corps.  The property owner asked our group to come and search the area as artifacts had already
been found.  We used metal detection devices and screen methods for five days in 1987.

Artifacts located:
1. 7 dropped .58 cal bullets
2. 1 US button
3. 1 US box plate
4. 1 Jews harp
5. boot heel (iron)

The artifacts were tagged and shipped for further study.  The area was determined to be where the
Union troops passed through the area in November 1864.
