The Tuggle-Hinton-Love Slave Cemetery Located just south of Hwy 138 E and Lanier Crossing.

This cemetery is in thick brush located within the square denoted in the photo.  The graves were
reported by Henry County Code Enforcement.  They reported some 40+ graves with only fieldstones for
markers.  These slaves would have belonged to the Tuggle family who lived just south of the site and the
Love family just north of the site.  The Hinton family just to the east of the site could likely have placed
some slaves in this site.  The land does not appear like it would have been useable for farming.  The
Cemetery Research Group will conduct a further search of the area when possible.

The site is just about 2 miles east of downtown Stockbridge.
